Waiting on Wednesday: Inheritance

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Inheritance
by Christopher Paolini
Inheritance #4
Release Date is November 8, 2011

From Goodreads.com:
Not so very long ago, Eragon—Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider—was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.

The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?

This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.

We have waited a long time for this final book! I’m looking forward to seeing how everything ends.

What are you waiting on?

  1. Hmmm…I just don't know if I would like this series or not. The last thing I read that even remotely involved dragons was a YA paranormal romance where the girl could turn into a dragony kind of creature called a draki. (It was Firelight by Sophie Jordan. I actually liked it even though the shape shifter thing isn't usually my favorite! 🙂

  2. O.o Interesting pick for WoW! My friend is dragging me to the Paolini signing in SLC on Dec. 1 even though I haven't read any of his books. I'm going to give them a try. People seem to either hate them passionately or love them. My guess is that his books are really somewhere in between. Let me know if you like it!!
