Book Review: Endlessly by Kiersten White

THIS IS THE 3rd BOOK IN A SERIES!
Book 1: Paranormalcy (my review)
Book 2: Supernaturally (my review)

Title: Endlessly
Author: Kiersten White
Publisher: HarperTeen
Release Date: July 24, 2012
Pages: 385
Series: Paranormalcy #3
Source: an ARC from HarperTeen
4 Stars: I Really Liked It

Try as she might, Evie can’t seem to escape her not-so-normal past. And what was supposed to be a blissfully normal school break is ruined when a massive group of paranormals shows up at her house, claiming that Evie is the only one who can protect them from a mysterious, perilous fate.
The deadly war between the faerie courts looms ever closer. The clock is ticking on the entire paranormal world. And its future rests solely in Evie’s hands.
So much for normal.
With a perfect blend of humor and suspense, Endlessly is everything readers could dream of in a conclusion—and the unexpected twists will keep them guessing until the very last page.

My Thoughts:
If you haven’t read this series you need to. It’s fun! Evie is now a senior in high school and living the dream. She has wanted to be a “normal” teenager for a long time, and now she can be. Of course we know better; Evie’s life never seems to stay normal for long.

I love this final installment of the trilogy. The story and Evie’s life come full circle. I love the reappearances of all our favorite guys. Lend, Reth, and Jack all come back for this finale. Reth is such a complicated character, and I love him for it. Is he good? Is he bad? It’s hard to ever know. Lend is as sweet and perfect as ever. I enjoy all the scenes with Evie and one of these three guys. The banter is laugh out loud funny!

Evie is still sarcastic, sassy, and fun. Her attitude comes across disrespectful and annoying at times, but that’s just the way she deals with her problems. She takes it out on those around her. Thankfully she lived and learned.

A fantastic end to this paranormal trilogy!

  1. Irene- Yeah sometimes it's good to lower expectations on books that get a ton of hype. I loved book 1, book 2 was ok, and I liked book 3. Overall a really good and fun series but not my most favorite that I'll re-read a bunch of times. 🙂

  5. Giselle- Looking back, I agree that the 2nd book was a bit slow and the plot a bit surprising but not bad. The 3rd was great though! Everything came together. If you enjoyed the 1st then definitely read the rest of the trilogy.

  6. OMg I read the 1st of this series like 6 months ago and never got to the sequel! I heard it wasn't as good as the first and the reviews ae super mixed. Sounds like she nailed the ending though I love Evie's wit and fun narration! Great review!

  7. need2read- After blogging for a few months I added the content ratings at the end of my reviews so my blog readers can make an informed decision on the books they want to read. I don't read books I don't feel comfortable with, but that doesn't mean other people will feel comfortable reading them.
If your mom doesn't want you to read Harry Potter you'd better not read it. Maybe sometime I'll reread and write a review for those books with content ratings if that would help. Reading Teen's Parental Book Review site is amazing! They have content ratings for a ton of books.
