I loved reading Four! It was really fun to get to know him better. I think I might favor him as a character now over Tris. She is still awesome, but Four is unique. I found out more about him than I knew after reading three books where he was the side character.
All four of the short books are entertaining. After the 4 short books are 3 short stories where Four gets to know Tris. It was fun to see his thoughts and feelings during the Divergent book.
Read the Divergent trilogy first then read Four. It’s a book you’ll love!

I bought this for my daughter who read all three of the Divergent books but she still hasn’t read it. She says she’s not sure she wants to revisit the characters especially after the ending of the last book which was emotionally hard for her.

Book 3- Allegiant was not my favorite read for more than 1 reason. So I just pretended like that book never happened and read FOUR. Four became a fave character. I totally understand why your daughter doesn’t want to read it though.
