Do you ever re-read a favorite book when you need to escape from a hard day? Yesterday I escaped to Aspen Everlasting, my own book, for the first time in almost a year!
From 2014-15 I was going through #braintumorsurgery, radiation, and chemo. At the same time I sent my book out to find a publisher and then edited my book with my publishing company. Aspen Everlasting was published a few weeks before my last chemo!
Most authors don’t read their books after it has been published because they’re working on their next book or can remember their book better than me post brain tumor. I wish I was working on my next book more, but I haven’t had the energy in me for the past 2 years.
So yesterday I wanted to read and saw Aspen Everlasting on my kindle. I started to read it, and the smiles came quickly. πβ€
